State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI)
The State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) is a federal program that supports small businesses and entrepreneurship. Georgia received nearly $200 million in SSBCI funding, administered by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA).
Through an agreement with DCA, Invest Georgia operates two of Georgia’s SSBCI programs: the Georgia Venture Capital Program and the Georgia Equity Direct Investment Program.

How Invest Georgia works with DCA
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) received Georgia’s federal SSBCI allocation and administers the state’s SSBCI programs. Through a Memorandum of Agreement, DCA contracted with Invest Georgia to operate the Georgia Venture Capital Program and Georgia Equity Direct Investment Program.
Invest Georgia manages these programs within federal SSBCI requirements and reports program activity through DCA.
