Invest Georgia expands access to institutional capital and is both a catalyst and attractor of private investment to Georgia. 

Through its state-backed Fund and the federally funded State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), Invest Georgia partners with venture capital funds, individual investors and entrepreneurs to scale early and growth stage businesses. 

How We Work

Invest Georgia uses two approaches to put capital to work. Some investments are made through qualified venture capital funds, which identify and invest in promising Georgia businesses. Through the SSBCI Georgia Equity Direct Investment Program, Invest Georgia can also invest directly in eligible Georgia businesses alongside other investors.

Together, these programs help businesses grow, create jobs, attract outside investment, and strengthen Georgia’s innovation economy.

Early- and growth-stage companies need access to capital to grow but securing that investment can be difficult. Invest Georgia helps close this funding gap by investing in venture capital firms and innovation-based businesses.

By investing alongside other sources of capital, the program helps reduce barriers to investment, gives growing companies more opportunities to remain and expand in Georgia, and helps accelerate industry advancements.
